The Better Together Collective is a youth-driven leadership program designed to empower 4th-12th grade students to actively shape their neighborhoods and communities for the better.
With the support of trusted adults, students will develop, plan, and bring to life community projects. Including organizing cleanups, beautification efforts, creating newsletters, and building connections with neighbors—all while gaining hands-on leadership and teamwork experience.
Beyond action, the Collective is a space for meaningful dialogue and critical thinking. Using Socratic circles and other philosophical discussion techniques, students will strengthen their active listening, empathy, debating, and problem-solving skills. All of which are valuable skills our students have asked us to help them grow and develop.
By combining service, leadership, and thoughtful discussion, the Better Together Collective ensures that young people not only have an unwavering voice but also the skills and support to turn their fantastic ideas into positive action.
